WINCANTON CARES wins South-West Award

WINCANTON CARES has just been recognised at the South-West Integrated Personalised Care Awards - gaining this year’s prestigious ‘Connecting People Award.’

At the presentation event WINCANTON CARES was said to be: ‘A truly inspiring example of what community power can achieve.’  The charity was also said to be: ‘A model of community-led personalised care – a north star for what true connection looks like.’  The judges identified how the work of WINCANTON CARES has changed lives.  It is now changing how adult social cares officers think about how services to support older people and those with disabilities can be delivered.

Personalising care is at the heart of what WINCANTON CARES does.  The charity supports residents to find safe, reliable and Accredited care that will enable them to live their best lives and remain in their own homes.

It is the power of local residents working for and with their community that is celebrated in this Award.  WINCANTON CARES demonstrated what can be achieved by grassroots organisations who know how to connect local people with what they need.
